Rokumon Games

Privacy notice

This notice explains what stays on your device, what is stored with an optional account, why it is used and the choices available to you.

Effective 10 August 2026

Who is responsible

Rokumon Games is operated by Alexei Udall in Ireland. For privacy questions or to exercise a data-protection right, email hello@rokumongames.com.

Guest and device data

Games are playable without an account. A guest profile can store a display name, optional resized avatar, saved games, scores, recent activity, streaks, trophies, quests, gems and appearance preferences in browser storage. That information stays on the device unless you sign in and account synchronisation is active.

The optional wallet control reads the public address and current network shared by your browser wallet. Rokumon does not request a signature, cannot move funds and does not add the address to your Rokumon account or profile.

See Cookies & device storage for the exact storage used.

Account data

If you create an optional account, Rokumon processes:

  • Your email address, display name and a securely hashed version of your password.
  • Email-verification and password-reset tokens, which expire after 24 hours.
  • Session records, which expire after 30 days.
  • The supported profile data synchronised from your browser, including an avatar if you add one.
  • Routine server security information, which may include an IP address, request time, route and user agent.

Anonymous usage analytics

Rokumon may use Plausible to understand aggregate site use. It can record page views, referral source, approximate country, browser and device type, plus limited events such as a game starting, an account being created or an email being verified. A game-start event contains the game slug. Analytics events do not contain an email address, account identifier, display name, score or game-save data.

Plausible does not place analytics cookies or follow a visitor across websites. An IP address and user agent are used transiently to distinguish visits and apply bot filtering; Rokumon does not add either value to its own analytics database. Aggregate analytics are used to understand discovery, play activation and service performance.

Public leaderboards

Public score publishing is off by default. If you switch it on in your profile, your account display name and best reported score for each game appear on public per-game and all-games leaderboards. Your email address is never shown. Switching publishing off hides all of those entries; deleting the account deletes the stored leaderboard scores.

Scores are reported by browser games and are not independently verified. The leaderboards are intended as friendly rankings rather than cheat-proof competition.

Why the data is used

  • To create, verify, secure and recover an account, and provide requested profile synchronisation.
  • To preserve saved games and progression associated with that account.
  • To publish your display name and best scores when you explicitly opt in to leaderboards.
  • To prevent abuse, diagnose failures and protect the service.
  • To answer support requests and comply with legal obligations.

Account processing is necessary to provide the optional account service. Security and service-integrity processing is based on Rokumon's legitimate interests. Rokumon does not sell personal data and does not use it for behavioural advertising.

Service providers and transfers

Rokumon uses hosting and database infrastructure to run the service, Resend to deliver verification and password-recovery email, and Plausible for aggregate usage analytics when analytics are enabled. Those providers process only the information needed for their service. A provider may process information outside the European Economic Area under an applicable transfer safeguard.

Retention

  • Guest data remains until you delete the local profile or clear browser data.
  • Account and synchronised profile data remain until you delete the account.
  • Sessions stop working after 30 days and one-time account tokens after 24 hours.
  • Operational logs and backups are kept only for the limited period needed for security, recovery and legal obligations.
  • Aggregate analytics are retained only while they remain useful for operating and improving Rokumon, and their need is reviewed periodically.

Your choices and rights

You can continue without an account, delete the browser profile at any time, download an account copy and permanently delete the account from Account settings. Depending on applicable law, you may also request access, correction, restriction, portability or objection by contacting Rokumon.

You can hide all public leaderboard entries at any time from the leaderboard privacy control on your profile.

You may complain to your local supervisory authority. In Ireland this is the Data Protection Commission.

Children

The catalogue can be played without an account and is designed to minimise data by default. The account service is intended for people aged 16 or over. A parent or guardian who believes a child has created an account should contact Rokumon so the account can be reviewed or removed.

Changes

Material changes will be explained on this page with a new effective date. New analytics, advertising or materially different profile uses will not be introduced silently.
